No luck was on my side i think, alot off blocks said they were acting like the tie down eyes on the truck.
TimM:
I'm just looking for some Jate rings now, I have found some disgustingly expensive ones, and am now looking at some cheap ones that I have seen from MPS or even better the galvanised ones from Paddock.
The prices are similar to the ebay ones, yet the suppliers are reputable.
Are the ebay ones too expensive for the lack of quality, or are the ones I've seen from normal suppliers too cheap :?:
After scooby's post obviously I'm not considering the ebay style items, but I wonder if anyone would recommend that I do NOT buy the others.
Tim.

Hello Tim,
My advice would be to buy them from a reputable dealer.
Cheap recovery equipment is not a good idea.

I'd go a step futher than that and say get them from a reputable company that is known for off-road preparation or recovery gear...
A lot of parts suppliers are just box shifters, and won't take the same level of care in choosing their items.
TimM:
Thanks for those replies,
I certainly have no intention of getting something that isn't up to the job, even though I probably will never (or rarely) use them.
I would rather pay more for something that will work than less for something that will let me down - but (of course) I would rather pay as little as possible.
Would you think that the suppliers I mentioned are going to be 'reputable' or should I look elsewhere?
Go on, go for it, I'm sure you can recommend a good supplier....
