v8 heads

any ideas on where to get recon heads and will 3.9 heads fit

desperate for 2 as i dont know which is cracked.

as far as timescale goes

well my disco is just sitting here looking sad

are they complete with valves and ready to bolt straight on.??

Range Rover Blues:
3.5, 3.9 no difference unless they are the later ones that don't have the outer set of bolts at all, even then you can use them.  Both heads are the same BTW.

Why can't you tell which is cracked?  how do you know it's the head? did you use a thicker head gasket when you refitted?

well the engine was overheating when under power
eg
on the motorway at a constant 60 it was about just over halfway on the temperature gauge.
when throttled to 70 + or going uphills the temperature rose.

so i had both heads skimmed and put in a new head gasket set (normal)

end result was the same problem but worse

prognosis cracked head ?? crack opening when under pressure

all the water system including water pump etc are all fine
