Hi Guys
I had a slight accident 2 years ago, totally my fault.. :undecided: I reversed into a car..
Anyway tonight I have received a claim form from the female driver for compensation for  whiplash
I am gobsmacked.. that she was injured etc but my question is:
As I am no longer using the same insurance provider, would they still cover the "new claim"?  They did pay out a full hundred pounds at the time for the damage to her bonnet..

Its too late in the day to phone my broker and i,m a bit worried, I could do with some info about this sort of thing please

I think you can claim up to 3 years from the date of an accident, dont worry about it, just pass it on to the insurance company.

There was a thing on the radio about the gov winding the regs in on all this. Hence you have this now I suspect.

Yeah I heard abit of that program today. Ironic ay?
Bet the ambulance chasers would just claim its unfair if there was a regulatory law against them.

I,m hoping I can just pass the paperwork on to my old provider and they just deal with it as easily as the original claim, that didn,t cost me anything really as I had a "guaranteed no claims" type policy and I replaced my rear lenses of the truck with a couple of spares.
I,m still using the same broker so at least I have that to help me out, just a different ins company.

Pass it through with a note that you consider it to be a fraudulent claim.
