juddering on 95 maverick now needs jump strating

hi all

started to notice that when driving there is a bit of a juddering, only happens when driving not stationary, have looked around car and found what feels like oil around bottom of the rear break drum / axle think that the seal has gone. if no oil in transfer box would this happen?

hope this explanation is not to confusing, and someone can help.

got in car at work all fine drove 2 miles to get kids from school.
got in car then would not strat think the allternator has packed up as when driving home wipers going very slow. could this also be the above falt?

Replaced alternater running better than every  :cheesy:
