Rattley brake pads

(1/2) > >>

Landyman:
Since changing my rear brake pads on my 2002 TD5 110, the pads now rattle on bumpy ground.
I have replaced them with another set. This time using genuine parts and its still the same. Its like the pins are too thin but they came with the pads so should be a perfect fit.
Has anyone else had this trouble or know how to cure it cause its driving me mad.

Range Rover Blues:
Don't they have a pressure/retaining clip over the outside like older LRs?

Then again, if they rattle it's a good sign they havn't seized.

lambert:
I had I similar issue with my old disco, the pads had worn through the caliper and were bouncing on the hub. Fixed with new calipers.

Landyman:
New callipers was a sugesstion but seems a bit extreme. I was thinking of making up some sort of sleeve to go over the pin to take up the slack. I've just never had anything like this before.

Frankie-Boy:
Take the pads out and coat the back of the pads with copper grease and put them back in, worked a treat on my 300 Tdi Disco
