K-Seal or Steel Seal
BigBlueBeast:
Hi all, I am after some actual information and help here!!
I have a P38 with possibly the dreaded cracked block!
I have been doing research and found these 2 items.
I don't want people to turn round and say "Dont use them, Fix it properly!!!"
I am wanting to know what experience has been had if any and what the results were.
Many thanks all.

Saffy:
I naively used k-seal to cure a mystery leak on the defender within a year of owning it. K-seal blocked my 300tdi radiator , seems the channels are small bore when new and even less when old and k-seal finished it off completely, when the rad was needed it wasn't there and the mrs cooked the engine to death :D
Frankie-Boy:
I've used K-seal in my 300Tdi Disco and its possible it may have contributed to it blowing a head gasket, we only found out the radiator was blocked after the gasket was replaced, the whole story ended when we found that number one piston had shed a piston ring and scored the bore, scrap one engine.
Jas278:
Used K seal loads of times , usually cautious about these things , but it does really work , it cures when it meets air so as long as its used right it should/might work ..
KingWolf:
We sell both at work - sold loads of steel seal and people seem to swear by it. If you believe all the hype it's 'guaranteed' to fix blown head gaskets and cranked blocks. So far no one has complained that it hasn't worked. Most of our customers have used this in the past and would recommend it to anyone. Personally I've been lucky enough not to require it's use but I'd definitely be tempted to give it a try.
Mark.
