Worn/sloppy prop shaft splines will give the symptoms you seem to be getting, no cure for the splines , it needs a replacement prop shaft.

You thought about getting some freewheeling hubs mate? save your front prop from wearing out and extra mpg...
If you do rebuild heres a link to a DIY mod for extra movement using Rangie flanges http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=60293  always good to have a bit more movement when running para's I'm totally doing this mod when I get my LWT running again!

Hey duncan, yeah i have freewheeling hubs but to be honestr  i pretty much leave them locked im too lazy/ forgetful to put them back on otherwise.
