Diesel to petrol

Could somebody on the  forum please explain the difference between a Discovery 1 petrol V8 chassis and the diesel chassis,ie engine
mounts and is it possable to convert diesel chassis to accept a V8 engine?. Incase you are wondering I have been looking for a secondhand V8 300 series in good condition but only seem to find diesels,unless you know different ?.

Range Rover Blues:
Engine mount brackets, fuel system (you need a new fuel tank), front springs.  Can't think what else :-k
