I also think these spoilers are ridiculous - most of them would snap off before they provided any reasonable downforce.

BUT...

I know a guy who has an immaculate shiny 90 with TWO snorkels (don't ask), underbody protection, winch etc, and he would never even dream of driving it up a kerb, let alone off-road.  (Yes, he does have more money than sense...  It's an inheritance thing.)  He gets Frogs Island to bolt all this stuff on just so he can look good.

So whilst we mock the chavs with their silly crappy spoilers, they probably have the last laugh, as you could get a lot of spoilers for the money this guy (and no doubt many others) spend on their pointless, non-functional 4x4 add-ons.
