what do u believe

Saffy:
It can be observed that some can be become spirituality awakened at some point in their life sometimes for a single purpose and their soul if fed and filled by the insight that there is something more. These rarely preach or impose their religion upon others - their deal is between them and God and are mostly at peace with that as the answers to their questions are revealed to them.
The truly evil are those that are awakened and turn their back and commit heinous sins. Many people never get awakened and live their life day by with no interest in such matters ever (which can be quite sad to observe in some), others keep tryng to force themselves awake but they may never be ready.
Personally I know there is a God, Jesus Christ is my saviour and a friend, I do not ram that onto others or bible bash or even attend an established church, my deal is with God and is no one else's business. I do not have all the answers to my questions and I am far from prefect in the established stereotype a Christian is supposed to be, I am far too revengeful for a start.
Maybe try praying and see if the answers to your questions about life the universe and everything get revealed? Sometimes if you seek hard enough and knock loud enough on Gods door....

And there's also the thought that some people belive that the big beared cloud wizard pointed his man like finger and made everything in 7 days (although how did he know it took a day for dark and light since he hadn't made the earth and sol so there was no time scale to work against...)

Blimey, this is bit heavy for Mud Club isn't it?

I'm with the born, live, die camp. I'm open to persuasion, but I've never been convinced of any other conclusion yet. I very much respect others beliefs. I am actually very interested in religion, but just from an academic viewpoint.

As Saffy points out very well, religious belief should be a personal thing, not forced on people. Although I disagree with the point about those not having been 'awakened' being lacking in some way so as to make it 'sad to observe'.

I take the believe in yourself approach. I don't feel I need a middle man like a god to help me do that. But that is just my feelings and as I said, I fully respect those who do have religious beliefs.

Unfortunately, religion is behind many conflicts. Or, at least, it is used as an excuse for conflict. That is something I could never come to terms with and limits my ability to be convinced about the subject.

To get back to the OP......
We are all reincarnated of course. But not in the sense of a complete creature. All matter reforms as something else, it doesn't just disappear. The term 'pushing up daisies' is not just a joke. There will, potentially, be elements of your buried body in them.

V8MoneyPit:
Could I just say.....

This could be an emotive subject. Please would all posters think carefully before hitting the 'Post' button. If it is kept thoughtful and respectful, it could be a fascinating thread.

The Mud Club 'gods' will be watching over you and removing anything that could be deemed offensive  ;)

dxmedia:
Interesting point on conflict.

Before the crusades all religions got on pretty well with each other, muslims living in the birth place of christianity and all that. Supprisingly it was the christians who caused all of the historic upset which we are still seeing in modern times.
