Disco-Ron:
I live about 12 miles form the steam fair, and used to go every year when i was growing up, we used to camp up there for the duration, however, now it's just a total pain in the arse, it cloggs the roads up for at least a week...... nightmare, good event for sure, but very expensive to get in, for a family anyway, not saying its not good value, its just flippin expensive!

Been there done that, got bored..........LOL

SteveGoodz:
I went for the first time ever on Saturday - free tickets so the entry cost was NIL

Geez it's a big site! You definately need more than one day to see it all. Still, managed to take more than 800 photos and meet some really interesting folks. The demonstrations of pure pulling power were impressive too

The food was rather expensive compared with other similar events I've attended this year.

Saffy:
had free tickets too, mrs was attending at the  d yson hand cleaner stand  funny enough I thought the food was reasonable priced with a proper sized banquette with a handmade largish sausage and a salad filling at

dxmedia:
Wow and I thought that pickering was big !!

Saffy:
In the heavy haulage arena a large steam train on the back of a flat bed being towed up and down by four traction engines was a pretty awesome sight ....
