hi guys, just thought i would stick a little post on saying my beloveded td5 is very poorly oil light came on solid even though it had oil in it then just stopped after hearing a chain rattle been told that the bolt has come of the timing chain?????? is this true??? still at garage at mo beining looked at tomoz bet this is goin to be expensive?????  :(

disco2 td5:
Yea it's the oil pump sproket bolt come undone if you stoped it within about 10-15 seconds of the light coming on will be a cheap fix as in under 500 quid
If you run it for a while your lookin at 1000s
When mine went I had a bill of 1500+ just for parts
Sorry to maybe bring bad news

Hightower:
If it is the the oil pump bolt then get in touch with Land Rover before shelling out any of your own money.  They replaced my engine at no cost when it happened on mine (at 7 years old).
