vitara lift
« on: September 01, 2010, 15:07:10 »
hey guys in new here, ive built a monster hilux and ive just picked up a cheap vitara for running up some green lanes as the 44's on the lux cause too much damage. anyways ive got some old nylon 3" lift blocks sat in the garage that i wanna  put on the vitara so i can get some 31 muds on it.

ive undone the body mount bolts but i cant see how to remove the old bolts to put new longer ones in. are they studs or am i being stupid?? ive looked under the carpet but cant see any rubber bungs to get to the head of the bolts or anything :(

cheers guys

hi m8
only the front2 and rear 2 are bolts
the 4 under the cabin area are captive bolts you will have to cut into the body to get to them

bits4vits used to sell new inner threaded bolts for people wanting to do there own budget body lift
might be worth a email to dave

The 2 at the front are bolts, all the rest are nuts. They're all M10x1.25 metric fine.
Now got some camacs and bfg a/ts can't get it stuck.Need longer legs.

In my experiance vits go best with tyres no bigger than 215 75 x15, as anything bigger messes up the gearing
Remember it will come in handy even if you never use it
