hi and thanx.
not sure where the flexi came from as i've had it in the back of garage for ages. its 63mm diameter silicon flexi hose similar to this one on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Silicon-Hose-Duct-Black-63mm-Bore-/350259248266?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM

i used it to sleeve the yellow plastic gas main pipe and also to finish of inside the wing
hope this helps

ibruceuk:
Thanks,

So what diameter is the plastic gas main pipe?  Is it flexible enough on it's own and you just used the flexi to cover it up and make it look good?

the gas pipe is also 63mm but the flexi gives a little so it slides over. the gas pipe is about 3mm wall thickness and is very rigid and as its gas main, probably pretty robust-after all they wouldn't want the gas pipe breaking would they! the flexi is only there to cover the bright yellow pipe!!

the piece of pipe that goes through the wing is off a scrapper's air inlet and had the roughly the right angle already in it but again, cant remember wot car it was off.
i then used more gas main running along the inner wing strengthener(cable tied in place) and then flexi through the existing hole in the wing behind the indicator.

i finished the drainpipe end off with a grill cut from an 80mm pc fan and tiger sealed it in place

have a look around your area or when your travelling around -i managed to scrounge a few bits off the workmen!
