I want to make the disco roar!!

<< < (5/6) > >>

Range Rover Blues:
I hear the LSE drive off down the road the other day, on it's way to the MOT.

Sounds nice, if a little loud for some people.

Series 3 Brad:
ITG are good for air filters and they do them for discos not sure what engine you got but they are sure to do one for it. they are the british version of K&N.
other than that you want a V8 with a supercharger out the bonnet with some flared out pipes or flatted down at the ends which makes more of a plap sound (say plap in your head or out loud a few times and you will get what i mean)

Sadly it's the only true way to appreciate the sound of your own motor is to let someone else drive it!  But i do agree the 4.2 does have that just right sound with the middle box missing.

So I'm told, mine's 5.0 ;)

The longer stroke engines don't burble quite like the old 3.5s did so mines' nice and smooth.
I fitted a Rmmer's stainless system without Cats to save fuel and do away with the unreliable manifolds more than anything else, the sound is just a bonus :)

Devon-Rover:
lol well there wasn't a 5.0 in my budget when it came to re-engine mine but the 4.2 was. Still think it is the best, the longer stroke for torque yet will rev freely and quickly. ;)
