Donald the Disco:
A company I used to work for had them fitted to the service vans.......
Reason being so thye could send the nearest van to the new jobs.......
The bosses said they would never spy on the vans.........even put it in pen & ink.
Service van drivers were allowed to use the vans in "non-work" time as long as you didn't take teh p***.
So it goes
Week one trackers fitted
Week two bosses suspend 5 drivers
Week three bosses fire 3 drivers using tracker evidence,2 still on suspension
week four I leave in disgust at trackers being fitted in my truck
Week five 15 drivers walk out
week six bosses begging for staff to return....(they are losing money / customers)
week seven trackers removed
week eight out of 15 driver only 6 returned
STICK TOGETHER to beat the system

I also used to use them to direct vans to the next job as we had a couple of scenarios where vans passed each other on the way to jobs, they were also good when engineers couldnt find the job and needed directions etc.
The thing is if your doing your job as you should be why are worry about having a tracker in? if your taking the p..s and finishing early and not telling anyone then collecting the pay then expect to have a problem!
i only had a problem with one guy who thought he would try it on all the rest of my guys were spot on, its give and take. the only big problem was with the sales manager and one of the salesmen they kicked up about it big time, turns out they were running their own companies on the side behind the bosses back using company vehicles fuel etc.
i was a mobile engineer before i got the managers job so i knew all the cons and tricks that could be used any way
