soft ride
fuddy-mukker:
since stepping over to jeep i have noticed that the ride quality is rather soft....... is this normal?...... im going to be lifting it hopefully soon any way but as everything seems to have to be ordered from the states ( unless you want to pay a fortune for the parts ) i was hoping for some cheap tips, im looking to raise it by about three to four inches..... any help or ideas is much appreciated. also i have noticed that the newer cherokees sit quite a bit higher than mine so thats what makes me question the ride quality, by the way, i have a grand cherokee jeep 4.7 v8 ltd, not sure if this helps with any advice........
dxmedia:
Depends what you've moved over from.
Yeah, it's soft compaired to a elise.
Make sure your shocks are ok for starters, an unlifted grand handles pretty well really.
fuddy-mukker:
Im not complaining about the general handling, it corners like a beaut, what is of comcern is that over general bumps in the road is just feels like its floating. What i came accross from was a lifted lr 90 which was as bumpy as hell, draughty, noisy, smokey, uncomfortable............ shall i continue.... one thinks not, id be here for ever. I suppose i might just have to go with the lift and see what its like then :afro:
Dave69:
that's why it's called a grand cherokee mainly for all the comforts and off road ability.
the L/R is a stiff chassis and suspension which has realy been developed to it's full potential from the first model.
Bishops Finger:
Yup..
