D2 Td5 fuel filter tap

(1/1)

jay2578:
Hi guys and gals,
After recent problems with the fuel filter totally blocking on the disco i now have a leaky fuel filter!
The reason for this is the little tap on the bottom of the filter was at some point in the vehicles past, replaced with a bolt with the incorrect thread. I used the bolt to put into the new filter, but its stripped the thread. So i "assisted" the bolt with some leak-fix..... problem solved? For a day!
The little story above now leads me to ask if anyone has the tap i require? I will exchange for beer tokens which are accepted in all uk licensed establishments.

I don't have one but when I broke mine changing the filter I got one off the bay for about 20 quid but I think it should be lesson learnt to all td5 owners have a spair one when changing the filter as the break off really easy

I Think You will find Britpart filters come with the tap already on, i usually use Paddocks cheap as chips!!!!!!!!

Tried paddocks and got one, cheers for that..... should`ve tried them before
