Any Decent (and cheap) welders around Leeds???

(1/2) > >>

drum:
I need to have some welding done on a 90, couple of out riggers nothing fancy. Anybody know a good welder round leeds or york that won't take my arm off?

Bush Tucker Man:
It's not in Leeds, but there's a good independant LR garage over here to the east of Wakefield.
He's (as far as I know main-dealer trained) & also has an interest in classic cars.
Admittedly it's a bit out of the way, but one road from jct 31 of the M62 (then 300yards off the A-road)

But the obvious question really, is which part of Leeds are you in?

There's also 2 independants in Dewsbury.

They do some nice restorations, their own 90 is a good example

Martin Dransfield owns this garage, he's one of the 'Q&A' guys in 'LRE'. He also has a background in Comp Safaris  - both racing & building, so his welding is certainly 'up to scratch'

Sorry  ,can't remember the name & hence can't find a phone number.
Must try harder

Bush Tucker Man:
How about a truck repairer?, they'll be used to chassis work.

John Robinson in Armley, for example?

Andy.:
I know an LR Dealer mechanic who works from home on a weekend. Has a very nice modified 90  :D

I've got his number if you are interested, don't know what he charges  :?:

lee celtic:
Go to your local tech collage and book yourself in on a welding course they cost next to nothing and you get to use all there gear to weld your car with a Professional helping and the bonus is you never have to pay a welder again  :D
