Bearing race drivers.
« on: May 18, 2010, 19:41:48 »
What size for LR? Specificly 300tdi disco for the wheel bearings. Been intending to buy a set for ages and now that i have a lift i thought that it would be a good idea and a wise investment.

Cheers

John

I don't use them.. The inner race comes off by hand unless it's spun (seized bearing) and welded it'self in place.  The outer races i drive out with a hammer and drift.  When the hammer stanrts to "bounce" off the drift you have got the new race fully home.  Alternatively cut a slit in the old race to stop it sticking and use that, with a soft-faced hammer!
