Taking on the black art of the front diff
dxmedia:
All done a couple of weeks ago, and dead easy. Made a 'special tool' up for holding the yoke (I've a XJ yoke and prop on) for torquing it up. Most difficult bit was grinding off the inner bearing without touching the pinion, but that only took 10 minutes.
Quite up front now for the first time in a long time :D

Excellent
my special tool is a huge set of sthilsons

2m of 5x50mm plate with a couple of holes drilled seemed to do the job.

i hope its all fine for you 30 in lbs is a bit tightish if thats your rolling torque but a steady run in will always help

Just put 1000 miles on it running around scotland last week if that's what you mean by a gentle run in ;)
