Bobtail:
my central locking does not work (O what a surprise i hear you say)

so today stripped drivers door, there is a little switch contacter that is
activated by the barrell, moved the barrell and made this switch nothing
happened, moved the central locking servo nothing happened

what is the little switch that is operated by the barrell

and any ideas where/what i should check do next
as when it comes to electrics i do not know where to start
i can use a multi meter
but i need help   :D

daveh:
Before you take your car apart change the batteries in the fob. My little light on the fob was even coming on, but a new set of batteries cured my problems. There is however a teeny problem that can occur sometimes, if you are in the vicinity of a radio transmitter and you would be suprised how many there are, signals can effectively jam your very low power Central Locking Remote.

Bobtail:
i have just put new batteries in the remote
but it had not been used for god nows how long
so i have a thread on here alarm remote
it needs to be paired with the alarm again
and part of this is getting the central locking to fire
so need to get it working for two reasons

daveh:
Just seen the rest of the other thread. Ignoring the remote for now, is the central locking working from the drivers door now?

Bobtail:
no i have nothing at all :!:  :?:
