300tdi into a p38 is it possible?
military mad 110:
does anyone know of a 300tdi being fitted to a p38 and how hard is it? also is the gear box in the p38 a r380 with a different first motion shaft?
bogie:
The diffs are on the other side so dont know if this will throw a spanner in the works???
Thrasher:
You just use the P38 T/Fer box :) Problem solved lol
military mad 110:
and change the gearbox for say a r380 out of a disco?
Range Rover Blues:
No I think you would have to use the P38 transfer box and probably gearbox, otherwise the props would be out of line and possibly hit the sump. I think there would be plenty of space though and some companies will build a clutch plate with the spline you need,n so 300 pressure plate with hybrid clutch plate might do it.
You'd probably have to modofy the engine mounts to shift the engine accross the bay, you might need to remove the vac pump to get clearance and possibly the oil filter will get a bit tight too. The timing cover/diesel pump/airconn pump might get very close to the inner wing but IIRC most of it's bulkis above the chassis rail.
