stuped bolts

hi i am in the middle of doing the p gasket on my 300tdi disco and some stupid person has stuffed the head on the 10mm bolt at the bottom under the power steering pump and a 9mm is to small i can only get a spanner in there as its a very tight silly space the spanner just slips off so how can i undo it please any help

Range Rover Blues:
Can you get a box-wrench on it or a ring spanner, one with 6 flats not 12?  Also could you run the engine 'till it's hot?

thanks  I don't have any box spanners and it is the ring spanner that slips off and the as its part striped down running the engine is a no

If ou are any good at welding you may be able to weld an old bolt to the top of the knackered one and turn it using that, obviously the bolt will need to be discarded.

I would get a realy good file and file two flat sides on it and then give it a go with a tight fiting open ended spaner or get a beefy set of molgrips on it
