MRM Services!
« on: March 29, 2010, 20:09:58 »
this might sound like a lot of trumpet blowing but it is all honest and very true.

the workmanship is of the highest standard i have ever seen. even the apprentices are learning a very high standard.
to start.....i approached Mick a week ago picking his brains about my recent purchase of my disco 1. what i could do,what i should/shouldn do, and as he says, the "BEHAVE" issues.(that meaning what even give you a silly idea like that?lol)
so off i went shopping, calling him every 5 minutes to confirm im makin the right choice and spending the wedge my broken evo4 has left me.

saturday afternoon i was fully loaded and on my way to see Mick to see about fitting my extended brakelines so i could carry on,on which Mick wasn happy about doing, instead i stayed behind and we fitted everything and more from start to finsh. this included replacing wheel bearings all round, hub seals all round(3 were sho) and new brake pads all round. then back to the main plan of suspension, jate rings(cutting step off)steering guards, brakelines on rear and calipers for extended lines. new bumper, wheels, wider arches and light bar and lights.this event was like a pimp my ride crossed with annekas challenge! and the outcome was out of this world. and the price was unbeatable to. if anyone wants to kit out their land rover of anykind, orjust ask for advice, go speak to this guy. pics will be posted in modified section.

A HUGE SHOUT TO MICK AND HIS MEN AT MRM SERVICES

This is why my D2 is currently there, waiting for the body to be taken off and the chassis sorted.

When I spoke to Mick about it I recall him saying something like "I'm not prepared to just do a quick patch up job", to which my response was "that's why I'm speaking to you!!".  From what I've seen the workmanship is very good, and all of the recommendations can't be wrong.  In due course I'll be another singing Micks praises.

I have a complaint about MRM services....

too far away !  :'(

Used to have a very good Mick-alike specialist here but he pre-empted the recession, closed up, moved workshop and just picks and choices doing exclusive rebuilds of RRC.

Saffy.
You say MRM is too far away,If you want a high class job doing on your motor, drive up to Mick's and I'm pretty certain that he would take you to the train station to get home again, and also pick you up from the station to collect your motor in a few days time when the work has been done.

2. Range Rover Classic 300tdi SE Auto Softdash, apparently very rare.

Come to think of it you can nearly see the nearest train station from Micks place ;)
Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music
