I have two lurchers dogs and the next door ginger cat kept coming into the house via flap on a food stealing mission - he'd been neutered but still had big nads to repeat his crimes. My dogs wouldn't touch but they still corner it and go wild barking until we shoo it out - not before it defecates itself with fear *yuck*. My dogs went screaming down stairs nightly because they was paranoid that ginger was in the house. Now the dogs are locked up and the flap is a locked.
I've had cats all my life 2 of them made OAP, first that died at 17 years and took me through child hood and to end of my teens. The one we have now is about 18/19,and now totally deaf he was a stray we found abandoned and half starving on waste land back when I was in university. The cat is the top dog but in recent months because of his deafness has become a recluse in the airing cupboard and doesn't go outside anymore.

Next door only got the greyhound about 3 weeks ago, a rescue one. The kids used to tempt the cats into the garden to play with them (we've 4 cats from 2 years through to 15), so cats were fine going in.
Then the greyhound appeared.... wondered how long it was going to take before something happened. Not a happy bunny at all at the moment, not the dogs fault...
