Painting Galvanised steel?

Most powder coat these days is electrostatic and applied over a zinc coating of some sort, though it isn't galvanising as such, it's goldy coloured IIRC but it helps the powder stick and stops rust getting back underneath it.

good for future reference cheers. I never had anything powder coated, not sure I have the budget or how to go about it.

You would be surprised at the cost, cheaper than you may think  ;)
Gold coloured zinc is electro plating, Galv is dipped in a molten bath of Zinc  ;)

From what I have been told certain powder is made for galv/zinc plate to go straight on, t-wash is for wet painting then etch, then primer, then top coat
