Another point is tracking - for some reason a lot of people don't bother getting the tracking done on Series motors (possibly because they do so few miles as to not bother about tyre wear).  When I got the 2A, the steering was vague, heavy & had quite a bit of play.  Adjusting the box got rid of the play, and changing the tracking from 6 deg toe out(!) to 1 deg toe in completely transformes the drive.
