Rust killer primers!?!?

<< < (3/3)

MuddyDiscoveryJay:
It is a real tough one to call. Took me ages to decide what I wanted to do. Good luck with it and please let me know what you decided and what the end result is.

Well I found a bottle of this stuff

in our garage and it was voted the best on a mini forum so Iv slapped some on today and will see how it goes!
Im still contemplating one which has zinc too for extra protection but is more pricey

Hamerite is nowhere near as good as it used to be.  Back when it was Finnegan's they made a No.! primer that was better, you could paint an cast iron manifold with it it was that tough (ask me how I know).

Dinnetrol was supposed to be good too, though I think they make waxes more than primers.

If I was into painting axles I might be visiting a marine chandlers to see what they use on boats.
