200tdi chassis question??

hi guys.. ive got a striped down 200tdi chassis ready for a new project. im going to sand it all down and waxoil it. my question is how do i deal with the botem  tow bar brakets. there is the remainder of the bolts still stuck in there and i cant get them out, are they welded ?? I do need the brakets left in tact if this is posible

Drill or punch them out with a big hammer. May need a generous application of heat or WD40!

there is a small drain hole in the middle of the tube (on the bottom) make it a little bigger and stick the tube off a wd40 can in there and spray a lot..

then get a junior hacksaw blade cut it to a point at one end so the teeth form a hook and work it down the side of the bolts spraying now and again.. the bolts are thinner than the size of the hole they will be held in by compacted rust and dirt.. It took me 30mins each side to get mine out like this so I could fit a dixon bate to the car..

the garage that was going to do the job were going to drop the tank and burn them out..! :evil: needless to say they won't be touching my car again. ;)

i have tried the big hammer its just flating the end of the bolt. if i tried drilling i dont think i could keep it straight enough to drill the bolt only and would proberbly mangle the braket. I was thinking of cuting them of then welding some more on but I need it safe to tow ~

I have just pulled a dixon bate of the chassis so may be uprated bolts as they are that tight i dont think its just rust jamming it. running out of options other than to cut them off. can i buy new brackets?? or is a jate ring ideal to use as a tow bar bracket ???
