cherrybomb exhaust?
william127:
erm prehaps not how id put it, done rover v8 very good, td5 very good as well. i NEED a new exhaust and would like to tuck it up out of harms way, cherry bomb seemed a good way of doing it, prehaps not :)
morson4x4:
i agree cherry bomb could get annoying think of traveling say 80 miles on a motorway with that banging out noise, my old 200tdi was bad enough had to sound proof the engine bay , straight thro is good more hp a little more noise but obviously has to be replaced with normal pipe for mot's.
topless matt:
Straight through it, ive done it on the 90, not a lot of extra cabin noise bust sounds amazing on the outside.
WHy would you need to change it for the mot, diesels are not subject to the decibel test for the mot.
I have never had a problem with mine lol

its a subjective test, its supposed to be close to on par with the noise and tone emitted from a similar model vehicle with a standard system.

the decibel level is build regs I think and nothing to do with MOT, such infrigment are dealt with police or other agency which carry out road side inspection, dunno if diesel is exempt or not.

talking to my mate who will be building it im think ing ditch the rear silencer ant tuck it up into the wheel arch so it doesnt get bust in the same way again
