Yes, Ashcrofts make 3.9:1 diff pinion sets, but that menas a diff rebuild too and then you are running non-standard parts if you bust one.

I'm not too familiar with the TD5 but on D1 you drop the back end of the gearbox and the T-box can be removed on it's own.

Is it still the LT230, I thought it was :-k

Yes mate they are all LT230's on 200 & 300 series disco's  :-k :-k [-o<
