One of the bolts holding the driving member has sheared flush with the surface. Need to get it off as I have wheel bearings to do. They wetre glued in with something

Any tricks to get it out without cutting the driving memeber off? Tried heat. Didn't work (but then never does) and a stud extractor but the brand new drill bit made no impression on the shaft of the bolt.

undo the other 4 then maybe you can get a grip onto it to undo it - or we can weld a bolt to whats left of it to get it off.

Tried that. No joy. May have to weld something on. Will need to be a good one. It's stuck fast.

Welding a nut on - or a bar has been successful for me in the past with this problem.  Combination of intense local heat and the ability to put decent torque through it usually works!
