can i put a 200tdi on an zf 4 speed autobox from a 300tdi range rover or disco,more to the point,will the flex plate and housing from a 300tdi bolt on a 200tdi,any help appreciated,jim

thankya for replying mate,thats made things easier,its just im thinking of converting to diesel,i know someone who has offerd one to me cheap,so all i have to do then,is find an auto box,torque converter,flex plate and housing,a job for the summer i think,cheers,jim

300TDi Auto is a nice car to drive and I think I saw a gearbox for sale somewhere recently.  You know I assume that a V8 box is no use :)

You can also alter the kickdown response to suite your own style of driving, which you can't do as easily on the V8.
