How much does a 200tdi weigh - need to hire engine crane

The Electrician:
Hi Guys
             I may need to hire a engine crane, HSS do one that will lift 500kg, is that enough to lift a 200tdi clear of a disco ?

Should be OK, total weight of a Discovery is around 2000KG so a quarter of that for the engine should be fine.

bogie:
Are you taking it over the top or cutting the front panel because the smaller ones dont have the height!

The Electrician:
Lifting it over the top it has to be repaired and go back, all in a weekend.

What size shall i get ?

bogie:
You need a very high lift to get the lump clear of the slam panel,once you have lifted the lump a bit you could remove the front wheels and lower the front down but not on the hoists leg or you will be stuck!
