Is this really a series 3??

I REALLY shouldn't be thinking about buying another car, but........................... what do you think about it? Is it worth a look? Price seems ok and I am guessing that it will have had a new bulkhead fitted?

I would check very very carefully that all the engine, chassis numbers, VIN plates and V5 all match up.....

To anyone with a basic knowledge of series Land Rovers it certainly looks like a ringer. However there may be legitimate reasons for a post '71 vehicle carrying a '66 plate.

I would cautiously suggest that its legit?

Its been rebuilt by Liveridge at some point and they have a cracking reputation. I reckon that the owner at the time has specified a series 3 front wings, panel and bulkhead to update it a bit.

The owner is probably basing his series 3 statement on the bulkhead and wings without really thinking about what he has?

It might be worth contacting Liveridge and asking them to clarify the discrepancies?

With a starting price of almost £5000 for a refurb, you'd be getting a real bargain if it's legit.

I have sent Liveridge an email asking them for details on the work that was done. If it is then I may go and see it next weekend if it is still about. Shame my rnager is broken this weekend!
