TD5 Alternator top tip

(1/1)

burgerman:
Just found out that if the fuse for the brake light blows the alternater stops charging, therefore many would then go out n buy a very expensive replacement that nots needed,

Sadly mine was not the fuse and had to cough up for a new one today  :'(

Only landrover cold have dreampt that one up aye

extreme90:
are you sure it isnt just a co-incidence
i pulled the fuses out of both my comp truck ( later 15p engine ) and road 90 ( 10p ) and still got 14.4v from both  :?

burgerman:
i must admit i havent tried it myself, The info came from my local motor factors whilst looking up the details for a new one, a window popped up and stated the above message,

if this is incorrect im sorry

extreme90:
dont no
ig got me thinking for ages as to a possability
but of course i had to try it for myself

Range Rover Blues:
