disco2 td5:
the torque converter is fasted to the flywheel with a flex plate u need to access the bolts buy turning the engine slowly and u will see the nuts from the startor motor hole should only be 3 or 4 nuts the u can get to the fly wheel bolts usually about 8 of them and then it should be off
stretchy:
so its just nuts then ?? no special tools ??
thanks

disco2 td5:
no nothing special just a few nuts prob somewere in the area of 13 mm - 14 mm and the fly wheel bolts are about 19 mm - 21 mm depending on engine
extreme90:
remove the starter
then turn engine over until you see a hole in the flywheel thats access to the pin on the plex plate
there are 3 in total ( going of td5/300tdi/p38 )
be carefull when refitting, if the convereter drops off the pump drive and you force it all together you will bust the drive gear on the pump
thats a tad expensive then
