casper90:
hi therey folks i have a 3.1td p reg trooper. and i think it is a but thirsty, does about 350-370 to u full tank is this normal, and also tryin like a gandma and not towing anything.

also i am lookin liftin it but not really sure on how to go about this, as i have a 90 as wel witch i lifted but the suspension set us is totally diffrent. and a rough cost and where u got ur parts from would help please. thanks alot casper

dxmedia:
Yes that's about right for fuel economy on the 3.1 - it's indirect injection and a thirsty lump. Winding out the fuel pump, disconnecting the egr's and cleaning the inlet will help though. I used to be able to get just over 400 from a tank.

As for lifting. Keep away from milners springs, they are junk, but 2" lift is a case of lifting the rear end on longer springs or spacers and winding the tortion bars up a little.

A site like muddyfrontera.co.uk has a lot of information on it (you need to register to get most of the info).

casper90:
yes have noticed the back just looks like a case of longer springs and better shocks do u know a supplier in the uk? and torsion bar? is that just a case of lifting the front? and better shocks of course. also as regards to a winch bumper does anyone in the uk make one? was tempted to take the tubler of my landrover but not sure i could fab it to fit,  :D

dxmedia:
Sell a child for a winch bumper - They are about 700 from arb.

Yeah longer springs. Devon4x4 might be able to help?  OME ones.   Yeah just wind up the tortion bars, don't go over 2" though.  Your stock shocks are fine at 2", but an upgrade is never a bad thing.  Just keep away from milners, you'll get a 2" lift alright, but you'll have a 2" sag in 12 months.

casper90:
will stay away from them then!!! yeh was planning on fitting 33"'s on it but was not sure after winding the torsion bars up if i had to change anything else to get the wheels to line up staright again?
