Which 4x4 for a Newb?

Also I don't think the question is what is the best offroad vehicle. I believe it was stated that it would spend most of it's time on the road and maybe used for some light laning.

a land rover is a workhorse most been used as such hence seem to break more but put a jap moter in same placeand it will be scrap at 10 years old troopers are poplyer with farmers here but thay arnt kept long and a fubared at end where as landys are just run in end of the day landrovers need mantaining well do that and your ok japs tend to do better with little mantanace but arnt worth fixing when thay get old hence not as many parts places and land rovers are a bug and if u get it you have it for life my i had a landy first but had a fourtrak at same time as daily driver and it was good for the cost till i could aford a good landy one of my landys even has a 2.8 out of a fourtrak as the only thig that wasent roten or worn out after 170k on my fourtrack was the engine
