Help with Overheating problems!

oh poop I think i know what it is LOL  its not over heating... you got the disco temp sender in engine block .... it will read all to cock... you  need to put the defender sender in. One is green capped and one is black. But the defender one in and you temp gauge will be normal :D Same as what mine was like after def/disco 300tdi swap over - scared me to death at the time  :oops: fingers crossed its this simple

i got all excited then but then realised when we fitted new engine we switched the senders as we have been told they are different! sorry forgot to mention that,  :doh:

Range Rover Blues:
Is the water pump working? I've heard of them coming off before now.  Also check that the viscous fan is working correctly and the blades go the right way :-k

is your intercooler in good condition because one in poor condition can cause overheating under load
