rear wheels not the same distance

<< < (2/3) > >>

eugene:
but if the bushes have gone wouldnt it move from side to side rather than just one side sticking out just a thought and when fitting a new axle do you have to line it up or is it just bolt it all back together if this makes any sense  as thats what i did when i replaced the axle

Disco-andy:
sound like the wheels have different off set's. are they new to you?

eugene:
will check must have a 6 half j and 3 7s have to see my uncle hes got a thing that will measure it  thanks

Disco-andy:
i would start buy measuring from the outer edge of the rim to the plate with the holes in on both.

The size inc' "j" will normal be marked on the wheel normal the side that faces the car.

bogie:
You stated in your first post you had swapped your wheels around with the same problem,so i suggest you check your wheels, check your tyres, measure the amount of axle that pertrudes out each side and try again. Your axle could be bent? your shell / chassis could be twisted?
