no drive to the front wheels

Range Rover Blues:
I snapped a halfshaft right next to the diff, the short one is usually favourite to go.  Don't know how I did it though as I havn't been off road for over a year.

bobtailed disco:
i would just jack the front axle up and remove the filler bung look in through the hole and get some1 else to turn the wheels, you can tell which side it is then.
well thats what i done, i was expecting diff but it turned out to be a cv joint

thanks for the ideas and info its sorted now. cv joint and a half shaft back off the road....... :D
