Poor interior heating

(1/2) > >>

wizard:
Hi All
Mrs wizards G reg Rangie seems to have the worst interior heating in the world.
When the engine is up to temp the air from the blowers are luke warm. Is this normal ?
I replaced the thermostat, but that made no difference.

kemo:
had the same problem turned out to be a air lock in system

bogie:
Disconnect both the pipes to the heater (under the bonnet) ,connect a hose pipe to one of them with hose clip and wack the tap on,you could have a blocked heater matrix which could be restriting the water flow. I used to have an old fx4 taxi which went like it,when i done this ,the water came out like liquid clay!!! I had the hottiest taxi around after that!!!

Range Rover Blues:
Agreed, air lock or sludge in the matrix.  The hard dahs RRC should be filled via the heater matrix feed pipes to prevent air locks, they don't flush themselves out.

wizard:
I flushed it through with rad flush and found one of the air vent pipes off the heater.
Its still not fantastic but its a lot better than what it was.

wizard
