Hi Guys,
Thanks for all your advice. She's been at the local garage and runs like a dream now. They advanced the timing a bit, richened up the mixture and fitted new points and condenser - goes like a bomb now!
I've been through all the old paperwork and it seems the engine was rebuilt about four years ago so there's plenty of life in the old girl yet! ( I hope!)
