Very true. The motor on mine was packed with mud!

yeah,not a bad idea,all though,it was serviced before i bought it second hand,before that,it was used to pull a boat out of a river twice,then sold it to me,so it hasnt been used much by me at all,so i wouldnt of thought there would be much water or mud in there at all,i will look after it though,cause ive never had a winch before this one,i couldnt do without it now,brilliant bit of kit, :D
