range rover rear calipers
JIMBOBLY:
im goin to replace both rear calipers on my rangie, its a L reg 93,what years of other landrovers will have the same units,i know discoverys have the same, but what years, because lookin at new ones, there is a difference in up to 93,and 94 onwards to the last classics, will both units fit?
Range Rover Blues:
I'm not aware there were any differences at all, AFAIK the same pads fit and the bolts ae the same, so unless the pistons are different I don't know.
Watching with interest now :-k
JIMBOBLY:
well,first of all,thanks for replying,when i went to order off paddocks,there was a choice of calipers,it was 86 to 93,and t5hen 93 on wards,but mine is a 93,so pretty obvious,but just slightly worried that i would send for these,and they come wrong,but like you said,the bolts and pads are the same,so in theory,if i get a pair,i should be ok,cheers jim :D
Bowie:
Late rangie axles have different caliper bolt hole sizes to Defender/90/110 axles, so you can't actually swap the calipers across to an older axle, or the other way without reaming the mounting holes slightly -I think this is the only difference mind you.

i think you're mate, because my mate eugen had the same problem with his disco, with the front original calipers, when he fitted a later axle, just reemed them out slighly.
