extra lift on back springs

<< < (2/4) > >>

stretchy:

just had a look on your site wizard... top gear mate,  unfortunatly like all of us this time of year im skint. the job is realy not that big of deal for me to actualy spend any mony doing this it was just a litle tinker I was thinking of doing to keep me busy and maybe get a bit of extra lift in the prosess

stretchy:

I done this today. fairly straight forward... jacked up the body and compresed the spring and just slid the extra plate in and got some longer bolts.
mite get the plates spot welded around the outside just to be on the safe side but evrything seems secure and tight. its given me an extra 2inch rufly

trecfive:
Bodges like this remind me of a yellow 110 in the news recently.

Frankie-Boy:

I got mine a bit higher on the back by fitting police spec rear springs, they worked surprisingly well and the ride isn't as bumpy as I'd expected, I quite like the difference to be honest - the car seems more stable when cornering now too.
