extra lift on back springs
boss:
hd OEM springs are something like £9 each!
and are you saying your going to weld the spring? dont get heat anywhere near it as it could harden it and take away its elasticity!
stretchy:
the 2 seats will be welded together today. there is no need to weld the spring as there is no change in the set up at all. the clamp holding the spring down is still there. the only difrence being the upside down seat underneth acting as a spacer.

yes, enough said!
discosteveo:
hi my disco is the same as the photos no probs, mot man happy.
i think it is stronger than before the plates were together, the origional
plates were bent when i took them off the new ones are still straight (all 4)
bits of alli put under spring seat dont make it stronger as far as i can see.
i have achieved just over 3 inches and got 265 75 16 special tracks with modular rims on 30mm spacers

Unfortunately some people can't be told. It still looks like a bodge. For one thing the spring clamp bolts no longer tighten the spring down onto a solid platform, instead the clamping force goes into crushing the void between the 2 spring seats.
