ordered the faultmate system in the end as hoping to keep the car for a while
should arrive tomorrow or thursday so will let you know if i get it going with it, though i have a funny feeling i might have alternator trouble [-o<

well its fixed
the faultmate jobby takes a bit of setting up but once i was in and talking to everything it took about a minute to get the EMS code and enter it onto the BeCM
now running lovely :dance:
